Raising awareness of bullying, educating people of the effects it has on a person, and changing attitudes and behaviours is what ‘BulliesOut’ aspires to do every day.

Operating across the UK since 2006, BulliesOut aims to empower children, young people and adults to overcome bullying behaviour, recognise their self-worth and achieve their full potential.

Bullying behaviour has been prevalent in schools since schools became a formalised place of education, and this age-old problem not only still exists, but it is spiralling out of control and affecting many people day after day.

The recent rise of online-bullying incidents highlights the dangerous and harmful ways in which technologies can be manipulated to harass or degrade others. As technology has become more accessible and embedded in daily life, many people have rapidly found themselves dealing with the fallout of abuse and misuse of the internet, mobile phones and more.

At BulliesOut, in addition to their e-mentoring and counselling support, their innovative anti-bullying workshops and training programmes are designed to reduce bullying in schools and the workplace.

Delivering empowering youth engagement programmes that encourage young people to take a stand against bullying and make a difference in their communities is essential. Thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery, who raised £18,765 which was awarded through Postcode Community Trust , BulliesOut ‘Engage, Empower, Inspire’ programme can continue to provide their motivational programme.

More Than Just Support

The ‘Engage, Empower, Inspire’ programme encourages young people to become a BulliesOut Youth or Mini Ambassador. The programme creates a sense of belonging, independence, and empowerment, as well as helping children and young people to develop social and decision-making skills, build their sense of competence and motivating them to achieve.
