A Long Eaton gran of seven was left “floating on air” after winning £206,265 with People’s Postcode Lottery.
Jacqui Corden, 69, was one of 1,236 neighbours from Long Eaton who started their weekend in style by sharing a huge £3 million prize pot after their postcode sector, NG10 3, was announced as the winner of People's Postcode Lottery's Postcode Millions prize.
Like Jacqui, those playing in the full winning postcode, NG10 3QA, won the lion’s share of the prize and were presented with their cheques on a video call with lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson.
The five lucky winners each won with cheques for £206,265.

Jacqui was at home with her partner James, 80, and her five-year-old dog Rolo when Danyl called and couldn’t believe her luck when he pulled out the cheque.
Gobsmacked Jacqui said: “Oh my God! I can’t believe this, it’s absolutely incredible!
"I never win anything. This really will make such a difference to our lives, I’m honestly on Cloud Nine right now.”
Jacqui and James, who are both retired, have plans to go on a cruise next year but Jacqui also has some exciting plans of her with her winnings, “I’d love to buy a two seater sports car, not for me and James but for me and Rolo!” said Jacqui.
The couple didn’t have any big plans for celebrating their win but were looking forward to sharing a fish supper and a bottle of prosecco that evening.
“2020 is not as bad as we thought it was going to be,” said Jacqui.
Dorothy Griffin, 75, who was joined by husband Barry, 78, when she found out she’d won £206,265 and shared her plans to visit Australia with her winnings.
Dorothy said: “We retired in 2005 and spent two and half months travelling in Australia and New Zealand and have always wanted to go back.

It’s nice to know we can travel in business class now!”
Dorothy, who is about to celebrate her 76th birthday, was absolutely stunned when Danyl revealed her cheque and kept asking the ambassador if he was joking about the amount she had won.

Dorothy and Barry shared a kiss following their win and explained what this win means to them: “This money will give us a lot more freedom. You’ve made us incredibly happy in our twilight years,” said Barry.
The other three players in the full winning postcode chose to remain anonymous but the prize will be paid into their bank account.
Prize sums for the remaining 1,231 players in the sector ranged from £1,445 to £7,225 depending on the number of tickets played with.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “It’s always the best part of my job meeting the winners and telling them exactly how much they’ve won, and I have loved meeting Jacqui and Dorothy today.
I’d like to wish everyone who has won in Long Eaton a massive congratulations, I hope they all enjoy spending their winnings!”
It’s not just players who win with People’s Postcode Lottery – good causes win too. With a minimum of 32% from each ticket going to charity, players have raised more than £600 million for thousands of charities and good causes.
Local charities have also benefitted from funding raised by players too including Headway Nottingham. The charity received £14,855 to support the Brain Injury Outreach project which allowed them to provide injury specific support and provide access to rehabilitation services.
September’s Postcode Millions draw was held on behalf of Postcode Education Trust. The trust provides financial support to charities and good causes which encourage, inspire or support people with education and learning.
